| While on a family trip to our Nation's Capitol, my wife and I took our 3 children to see the tomb of the unknown soldier, somehow, in the excitment and confusion of finding a spot to watch the changing of the guard, a ceremony we greatly wanted to see, my wife and I got seperated, we each thought the other had our youngest son who was 6 - right in the middle of the ceremony, our son went running toward the soldiers, he thought the officers could help him find his mommy, well, just in case you weren't aware, those guards do just that, guard that tomb, they saw a child running toward them and began to yell "Get Back, stand back" it was something our son wasn't prepared for, and he turned around and somehow ran right back to me, embarressed and frightened...and we just couldn't believe...it was our kid...that made that scene. |
