| We took our kids to Disney when my youngest was about 2. He insisted on walking throughout the park, completely ignoring the stroller I had painstakingly brought with us on the flight for him to ride in. While I was off on a ride with my older boys, my husband took our toddler into a little splash area. What he didn't know, was that the giant bucket that was filling with water just above our toddler's head tipped over when it got full. He had a nice view from the bench when it happened. Surprisingly, Jacob didn't mind getting drenched and spent the rest of the time in the splash area with complete abandon. (Hey, he was already wet, so why not?!) My husband was afraid I'd be angry when I got back to a soaking wet child, but I was able to change his (now 20-lb) wet pullup and remove his wet cotton t-shirt in the restroom. The empty stroller made a nice clothesline for his shirt to dry upon. Luckily he was in sandals and searsucker overalls that dried quickly or my husband might have gotten in trouble afterall. |
