| Well it happened when my kids were young. My ex husband and I and my ex Mother-in-law (ugh) went to Florida for vacation in JUNE (his and his mom's idea). We were going to stay at her brothers. So it was a long trip down (My ex had to drive) because we lived in Pa. He drove non-stop to Florida and thank God we were in a van so my kids (we had 5, 3 of ours and 2 friends) had a place to sleep. We arrived at my mother-in-laws brothers and so tired we just threw our suitcases on the floor by the door. My mother-in-law had to get something out of her suitcase and just left it open. My youngest son who was about 7 wanted to go out and skateboard. So I told him he could but he had to find his helmet and wear it. He rummaged through the suitcases and found his helmet. He put it on and wouldn't go on, he tried again and it wouldn't go on, so he turned it upside down to see why and pulled out this rubber thing and held it up and said in front of everyone:"what the heck is this?" I looked over at my mother-in-law and she turned beet red and I could tell was so embarrassed. My son kept saying what is this thing? Throwing it up in the air and the kids were all laughing. Well it was my mother-in-laws prosthesis breast from her mastectomy she had years ago. It fell out of her suitcase when she was digging in it when we got there and fit perfectly into my sons helmet. So I jumped up and grabbed it as my son is still screaming but mom what is it? So needless to say I had to take my son outside on the porch and try to explain to him what it was, after I did he promptly turned around screamed EWWWw all through the house. My mother-in-law was so embarrassed she never went on vacation with us again. |
