| A year ago my family and I went on a vacation to a water park hotel in Wisconsin Dells. We arrived after dinner so our 3 small children could swim before bedtime as this always makes them tired! Each of us carried our luggage (including blankies and stuffed animals) into the hotel assuming this would save time if we did not have to run back to the car and would be able to quickly get our bathing suits on and go to the waterpark! We got our room number and keys which were paid for with a credit card over the phone hours before arriving there.
When we got to the room and opened the door to our surprise a family was already in the room, with clothes and suitcases everywhere!!! They had double booked the room! Talk about too close for comfort!
After spending over an hour at the clerk's desk arguing out of amazement and frustration, we were given another room, half the size, for no cost. Unfortunately, by the time we got to the new room, whcih we feared would have other guests in it since the hotel was booked, the waterpark was closed for the evening. |
