| In the summer of 1975, my dad, mom, older sister, 2 younger sisters, and little brother were on the wheat harvest in Hereford, KS. We stayed on the dairy farm, in our travel trailer, of the man whom we were cutting wheat for. We got all loaded up to go to the next town. We had 4 drivers, mom, dad, Older sister and myself. At least three of us were supposed to have at least one of the younger ones with us. We got 20 miles down the road, and started talking on the c.b. radio, and found out we had left one of my little sisters at the dairy farm. My mom went back and the man was standing in the driveway with little sis crying. She still talks about this and how we tried to run off and leave her. It wasn't really a vacation, but to us it was always fun! |
